I haven’t written anything here in quite some time. I have meant to, but have been dealing with some of my own personal issues, which I won’t go into here. That said, today is a sad day for me, because it reminds me of how there are no guarantees in life. We can lose someone long before their time and there’s nothing we can do about it.
You may be gone, but you’re not forgotten. Especially on this, our anniversary.
Okay, so it isn’t really a happy birthday. It’s rather sad. But there are many happy memories and many of them are from birthdays. Wendy Jo would have been 47 today. Rest in Peace.
One year ago today Wendy Jo Savage, Beloved Wife and Mother left this world, a victim of Breast Cancer. You have not and will not be forgotten!
Today would have been our 15th anniversary. You are, and always will be, missed!
I saw this on the ZappBots Forums today and remembered that it was never posted here. Something to share with you all. In April of 2015 Parallax put out a challenge for employees (and their families) to decorate the chassis of our most popular robot platform. Continue reading
Today is Wendy’s birthday. She would have been 46. I was trying to find a photo to put up for the occasion. Somehow this one caught my attention. I know Wendy would choose this photo out of her inappropriate sense of humor. So in her honor…
Christmas was another big holiday for Wendy. She had tons of tree decorations and stuff she put up around the house. I didn’t get any of it out this year. Let’s step back for a moment to earlier this year…
I met a woman in September who changed my life. She changed my life in that, I really didn’t expect to fall for anyone again. I didn’t expect to be in a romantic relationship again. I thought that if I did it would be much later in life. I just felt like so much had happened over the years and moving on was not possible. But that’s what Wendy wanted and this woman I met not only respects the situation I am in, but has an appreciation for what I had in my life with Wendy.
This year she made Christmas dinner on my birthday and we celebrated both with some of her family and Joe, Josh and Megan. We didn’t take any photos, unfortunately. However it was a great time and I am still cleaning up glitter from glitter bombs!
Like the recent Halloween holiday, Thanksgiving will once again be strange as, once again this was a holiday for decorations and food that Wendy would prepare for the family.
This year Josh and Megan invited me to have Thanksgiving Dinner at her parent’s house. I had already made arrangements to have Joe go there as I had previously found he was spending it alone as well. It was a great evening with good people and company! Continue reading
I haven’t posted in a while. But today seems like a good day to post something since Halloween was one of Wendy’s favorite holidays. She always had the house decorated and she always wore her traditional witch outfit. The last few years she wasn’t as into the holiday because of her health and we didn’t give out candy to the local children. Instead we watched Halloween movies with the lights turned down low and then turned in.
