The End Is In Sight

Wow! I was reminded that it’s been a long time since I updated here. It seems that time has been flying by at a fast and furious pace with me trying to stay afloat. I didn’t realize until today just how much time has passed. Continue reading

Current Thoughts & Perspectives

As anticipated the effects of the current chemo treatments are cumulative and Wendy is finding herself increasingly fatigued, itchy (from reaction to the chemo) and forgetting things and getting confused a bit more. Here’s the photos I took from her last couple of treatments. Continue reading

Chemo #4

My goodness I am late putting this post up.

Ok, so a little over a week ago I had chemo #4 and this was my last “Red Devil” treatment! WOOHOO!! I have to say that I am glad that part is over. Not sure how many more of those I could have handled. Continue reading

Chemo #2 and Hair

Okay, so I have learned something. Not all chemo treatments are created equal.

The Cost Of Living

When most people think of the phrase, Cost of Living, they think of how much it will cost them every month to pay their bills and still be able to live their lifestyle at their standard of living. To pay their rent/mortgage. To put food on the table, etc. But for someone who has a disease such as cancer, Cost of Living takes on a whole new meaning! You can be sure that once you’ve been diagnosed with a life-threatening disease such as cancer, there will be people ready to take every cent they can get from you under the guise of prolonging your life. I won’t even go so far as to say, “quality” of life, but I will get to that in a bit. Continue reading

Fun With Nuclear Medicine

MUGA Scan – Multi Gated Acquisition Scan

Fancy name for a test that shows whether or not your ticker is in proper working order. Had this test done last week in preparation for chemo treatments. Long story short the test came back that I’m ready to go.

But the fun part and where the story comes in, was the test itself. Continue reading
